Using Districts, Bands
and Overlays
1. Use DISTRICTS when you want
to define new areas that are perfect combinations of other, already
defined areas.
2. Use BANDS when you want to
outline a new area that is defined by its distance to an existing
point, line or area feature.
3. Use OVERLAYS when you want
to estimate the attributes of areas whose boundaries don't coincide
with the boundaries of other regions. Overlays can be used with
bands or with area layers you create or edit by hand.
