Just Harvest, a community-based anti-hunger and education organization in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, is one of more than one hundred and fifty organizations that CLICD has trained on GIS software over the last three years. Just Harvest staff created maps showing child poverty rates as part of an organizing campaign to persuade a public charter school to enroll in the National School Lunch or Breakfast programs. They have also created maps that they have included in funding proposals. By attending CLICD's training, Just Harvest staff gained the capacity to use GIS as an integral tool in their efforts to combat hunger in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.
