Statistics have proved that most cine goers watch a movie after reading the reviews. So, does a movie review really help? Well, the answer is both yes and a no. There are also few people who watch movies without reading a review it might not affect you of you are along with your friends but yes type of movie does matter when you are with your family. If you enter a multiplex to watch a movie with your parents and siblings and it turns out to be a vulgar movie then that will embarrass you and your family as well. Contestants in this reality show are people like us. Commoners, as we call them. Viewers prefer to watch the reality TV shows over the daily soaps. Reality TV shows like Big Brother have given people an insight about their favorite celebrities and their reactions whereas the reality show like Master Chef Australia has changed the life of a common man.

People love watching reality TV shows because they can relate better to this shows as compared to the scripted daily soaps that go on forever. These shows probably create more stir than the latest celebrity gossip or the latest celebrity fashion. These TV shows give an opportunity for the commoners to prove their mettle and try to earn some extra cash. Most of the TV reality shows are contests that evaluate an individual on their physical, mental and social strength. These shows work on the principle of survival of the fittest. However at times, people may also wonder if these shows are really spontaneous or scripted. Many a times the situations in shows and the participant’s reactions seem to be orchestrated. These shows tend to focus on reality more than fiction. The format of the programs is such that people who are participating in those shows will constantly remain under the glare of the cameras. The viewers can see whatever the participants are doing and talking while on the shows. The television viewers are in love with such kind of shows as they feel they can have a daily dose of reality on television which is generally meant for fictional works. There are also some shows which are talent hunt shows mixed with reality bits. Though these shows are extremely popular with the viewers, yet we cannot overlook the effects which these shows have in our lives.

The talent hunts are good as they help people showcase their talents on national as well as international platforms. The talents which would have otherwise wasted are finding recognition. However most of the reality shows are all about bitching and hurling abuses at each other. The daily dose of such negative things can be detrimental for the growth of a human being, especially of a child. People are increasingly getting hooked to such shows which do not have anything to offer us intellectually. The development of the society will become stagnant if people stop using their imaginative powers and keep on watching these shows constantly.
